One Tree, One Purpose: ANB’s Mangrove Planting at Sijangkang

On February 15, 2025, 43 volunteers from Ancom Nylex Berhad and its subsidiaries traded their office attire for boots and gloves as they stepped into the mangroves of Taman Rekreasi Paya Bakau Kampung Sijangkang. With muddy hands and full hearts, they planted 100 mangrove saplings, each one a living promise to protect the planet.

Mangroves are more than just trees. They are life-giving ecosystems that defend shorelines, filter water, support wildlife, and absorb harmful carbon emissions. But on that day, the planting was about more than chemical science, it was about connection: to nature, to teamwork, and to a shared purpose.

The atmosphere was filled with laughter and camaraderie as volunteers dug side by side, driven by the knowledge that small actions can lead to big change. Every sapling planted was a symbol of ANB’s ongoing sustainability journey—deeply rooted and growing stronger with time. This initiative echoes ANB’s core belief: that meaningful environmental action begins with people. Together, one tree at a time, we’re helping shape a greener, more hopeful future.
