Industrial Chemicals / Polymer

Nylex Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (“NHSB”), a core subsidiary of the Ancom Nylex Group completed the acquisition of Nylex (Malaysia) Berhad on 26 January 2022. The Group’s subsidiaries are leading players in industrial chemicals, plastics, and polymers, with an annual turnover exceeding RM1.5 billion across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

NHSB focuses on investment holding and the manufacture and marketing of vinyl-coated fabrics, synthetic leathers, films, geotextiles, and drainage systems. Its subsidiaries also produce rotomoulded plastic products—including chemical containers, road barriers, playground equipment, and disposal bins—and are active in industrial sealants and chemical distribution.

NHSB’s products reach Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand through its three main divisions: the Polymer Division, Industrial Chemical Division, and Logistics Division.

Polymer Division

The Polymer Division comprises NHSB and subsidiaries including Nycon Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd., Nylex Polymer Marketing Sdn. Bhd., and PT Nylex Indonesia. It manufactures and markets a wide range of polymer-based products, including PVC and PU leathercloth, films and sheets, prefabricated drains, bulk chemical containers, road barriers, playground equipment, water tanks, and custom moulded products.

Industrial Chemical Division

The Industrial Chemical Division is the main revenue contributor of NHSB, engaged in the marketing and distribution of petroleum-based and industrial chemical products and the manufacture of food-grade ethanol, phosphoric acid, and industrial sealants.

This Division includes several major subsidiaries:

Petrochemicals

Perusahaan Kimia Gemilang Sdn. Bhd. (“PKG”) — one of the largest independent marketers and distributors of petrochemicals, solvents, and specialty chemicals in Asia, supplying over 50 products to 12+ countries.

CKG Chemicals Pte. Ltd. (“CKG”) — trading and distribution of petrochemical products across Asia-Pacific.

Dynamic Chemical Pte. Ltd. (“Dynamic”) — specialist in petrochemical solvent distribution in Singapore and the region.

PT PKG Lautan Indonesia (“PKG Lautan”) — importer and distributor of industrial chemicals in Indonesia.

Ethanol

Fermpro Sdn. Bhd. (“Fermpro”) — Malaysia’s leading manufacturer of high-quality ethanol from cane sugar molasses using advanced U.S. distillation technology. Fermpro’s ethanol meets British Pharmacopoeia Standards and is used across cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, electronics, and industrial applications.

Sealants & Adhesives

Kumpulan Kesuma Sdn. Bhd. (“Kesuma”) and Wedon Sdn. Bhd. (“Wedon”) — manufacturers and distributors of industrial adhesives and sealants under the brand name WEDON. Products serve the automotive, air-conditioning, and construction industries.

Phosphoric Acid

Nylex Specialty Chemicals Sdn. Bhd. (“NSC”) and Speciality Phosphates (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“SPM”) — NSC is Malaysia’s only licensed manufacturer of Orthophosphoric and Polyphosphoric Acids, used in palm oil refining, metal finishing, sugar refining, and water treatment. Its METABRITE and PERPHOS brands are recognised across industrial and food sectors.
