Group CEO Statement
I am proud to share the remarkable strides Ancom Nylex Berhad has made in our sustainability journey over the past year. We started with a basic ESG framework and have since significantly expanded our coverage.
This growth underscores our strengthened dedication. Our sustainability efforts have always been voluntary, exceeding Bursa’s basic reporting requirements. Embracing ESG is about creating long-term stakeholder value and safeguarding future generations.
This year, through staff participation and surveys, we set our theme: “Embracing Chemicals for a Sustainable Tomorrow.” Chemicals are integral to daily life, and we are committed to leading the industry responsibly.
We are in the midst of acquiring a clean energy company specialising in biogas, which will significantly reduce emissions. Upon completion, we anticipate being carbon neutral, effectively absorbing more carbon than we emit.
Looking ahead, we will enhance our ESG framework and activities across the Group and our communities, focusing on environmental sustainability, social impact, and governance excellence — reducing our footprint, improving resource efficiency, and strengthening transparency and risk management.
We aim to foster an inclusive, respectful workplace; invest in education, health, and community development; and uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
My sincere thanks to our ESG Committee and colleagues for their dedication. As we advance, our focus remains clear: responsibility beyond compliance and a commitment to a more sustainable future.
